For over a decade, countless men and family members of men have contacted me several times a month to let me know that a group of thieves and scammers use my photos to contact lonely men, start an online relationship with them, and then ask them for money.
The lies have varied. In one lie, they claim that I am in Syria, Afghanistan, or some other country and that the United States military will not pay for my travel home. This is false. I would never ask a stranger for money.
As of this date, I know of no way to fight this pathetic scam other than to share as much information as possible in the hopes that those of you who do keyword/image searches can find this information and not give your money to criminals.
